Srushti Deshmukh began working on her UPSC entry in her 3rd year of engineering degree. As she finished her degree in engineering, she was unsure if it would make her happy. After realizing her dream, she began to work for civil service. Parents encouraged her to become civil servants and seek a career in public service. Her motivation never waned, and remained focused solely at her dream of becoming an IAS. To achieve UPSC, you have to put in more work. As she studied her engineering subject she was also able to prepare for different subjects at UPSC. The time she allocated for examination preparation each day. In less than one month and a half it was time to prepare for her engineering test as well as completely avoiding social media. Her belief is that staying focused solely on what needs to be done is key to passing the exam. Her efforts were arduous to attain her goal to pass the test on her first attempt. To stay informed about current affairs, she used to regularly go through papers. On the internet, she gathered numerous study resources and also watched Rajya Sabha TV.
