Megan Gale
Gale, then 18, was 18 when she won a Perth modeling contest at the age of 18. After years of modelling, Gale rose to fame when in 1999 was cast for a role in a set of adverts for the Italian telecom company called Omnitel (now Vodafone Italy); she appeared in the commercials of the company from 1999 to 2006.She was also hired as a model by the Australian Tourist Commission in 2003 to be their 'face of Australia as they travelled to Italy'. Gale has appeared on the cover of Australian Marie Claire, Grazia, Gioia, Italian and Australian GQ, Italian Maxim, Australian InStyle and featured in editorials for Australian Cosmopolitan as well as Vogue Italia. Gale modeled for Italian fashion houses like Gianfranco ferre, Genny as well as Gai Matiolo. The runway modelling for Milan Fashion Week for Mariella Burani and Angelo Marani. [9] Gale is also a fan of many Australian fashion designers, including Colette Dinnigan, Kirrily Johnston Lisa Ho, Willow and Alex Perry. Gale was the fashion editor for Australian TV's Logies awards in 2006. Gale announced in January 2008 her decision to retire from modeling on runways after fifteen productive years. Then, a couple of weeks later when she was launching the David Jones winter collection in Sydney, Gale walked for her last time on the catwalk. The final dress she wore was the Wonder Woman outfit she was to wear in the upcoming film Justice League of America. In the month of March, Gale returned to the runway and closed Alex Perry's Melbourne Fashion Festival show.
