He was born as Colson Baker Machine Gun Kelly is a popular American artist who made a meteoric growth due to his unique fashion and music. MGK was also known by the name Machine Gun Kelly for his quick-paced, lyrical style, began his rap career when he was in highschool and soon was gaining a fan base locally with mixtapes. The stamp of approval came from his first mixtape in the year 2006. It caught the attention of many. MGK was influenced by the popularity of his first mixtape and decided to begin a career in music. Over the next few years there were four more mixtapes. In 2011, his music career was on the rise after he signed the deal with Bad Boy and Interscope Records. After that when his first album Lace Up dropped to an enthusiastic response from the critics. The album debuted at four on the US Billboard 200 Chart, with songs of great acclaim like Wild Boy (with Stereo), Invincible (with Stereo), and Hold On. General Admission, his second album that came out in October 2015, debuted at number four on Billboard 200. It also was ranked first in the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums.
